Tinubu’s men accuse Arise TV of bullying APC candidate

The Media and Communication Directorates of the All Progressives Congress APC Presidential Campaign Council PCC has reacted to a statement issued on Monday by the Thisday/Arise Media Group accusing the PCC’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr Bayo Onanuga, and Adviser, Media and Communication, Mr Dele Alake of attempting to silence independent media and bully the press ahead of next year’s general election.

In a late Monday statement issued by the directorates on behalf of the duo, the PCC said “the allegation is baseless”.

Noting that it did not just single out the media house for an attack, the PCC said some of its columnists “substitute vile and vulgar abuse for sound logic and informed analyses while its television anchors heckle and harass their guests, particularly those of the APC in their jaundiced, flagrantly unprofessional programmes”.

“We recall that both THISDAY and ARISE Television sought to bully and compel the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, into attending its Town Hall meetings with presidential candidates, despite the media team’s explanation that it would not attend such programmes organised in a haphazard and uncoordinated manner by individual media houses.

“Each candidate’s campaign team has the right to adopt its own strategies for reaching out to and interacting with Nigerians. As we have repeatedly said, the Tinubu campaign will not succumb to the blackmail, intimidation and harassment of Obaigbena and his media group”, added.

According to the PCC, the “attempt in the said statement to justify its false news report on the purported death of one Mueez Adegboyega Akande and the attempt to insinuate mischievously that he died in suspicious circumstances failed abysmally.

“Rather than apologise for this professional lapse, it resorts to tendentious rationalisations. Its futile attempt to link Asiwaju Tinubu to a drug case in the United States, even when as far back as 2003, the United States government had categorically stated that the candidate has no criminal records in that country, shows the depths of mischief the newspaper is willing to descend in its bid to bring down the APC candidate at all costs. This campaign of calumny is doomed to fail as it always has.

“Our candidate is focused and will not be distracted by this diversionary tactics to throw mud at him simply because he is the obvious front runner in this race and some believe that the only way to stop him is to peddle falsehood against him".

Wife Of Incarcerated A’Ibom YPP Guber Candidate Predicts Better Days Soon

Justice that was recently turned on its head against the most loved and needed Akwa Ibom Governorship candidate in the forthcoming election, Senator Bassey Albert CON, has been described as a futile attempt to stop the will of God for the impoverished people of the oil rich State.

Already, wife of the incarcerated governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Pastor (Mrs.) Imaobong Bassey Albert, has declared that Akwa Ibom State will soon come into its finest hours.

Mrs Albert made the declaration on Sunday, December 11, 2022, when she led the entire structure of Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Organization to grace the 17th wedding anniversary of Apostle Nyeneime Andy at the Holy Ghost Ambassadors Ministry, Uyo.

While stating that “God’s people are the happiest people on the earth”, she congratulated Apostle and Pastor (Mrs.) Andy on their 17 years of marriage.

“On behalf of my husband, Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Organization, we are glad for the 17 years of God’s goodness and grace. God will continue to bless your union. He that kept you and brought you for our generation will continue to bless you. God will continue to strengthen you. May God bless Akwa Ibom. Akwa Ibom is coming into its finest hour”, she said.

Sir Emem Akpabio, chairman of Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Council, added that the thanksgiving was also aimed at giving members of the campaign organization the strength to do more.

“This thanksgiving is to empower us, energize and strengthen us. 17 years of marriage may have had mixed experiences. But we thank God for your life and marriage. The vision of God to make you a pathfinder towards the liberation of our dear state will soon come to pass”, he declared.

In his goodwill message, Pastor Sunny Ibuot, Direct General of Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Council, thanked God for the life of celebrates, adding that the vision encountered by Apostke Andy will sooncome to pass.

Rev. Ntia Ntia, in his sermon, urged believers to give thanks no matter the situation. Citing the Biblical Daniel’s situation in the lion’s den, he noted that it did not stop him from giving thanks. Thanksgiving, he submitted, should be a lifestyle.

He said the same God who took believers from where they were will take them to where they are heading.

“The Egyptians you see today, you shall see them no more. The Lord will fight for you, you shall see how it will end. When God wants to do it, he complicates it. It will not take long, Daniel is coming out”, Rev. Ntia declared.

Apostle Andy, who is the chairman of the Young Progressives Party in Akwa Ibom, told his guests how God has used him to change the political narratives of the state.

“About this time in 2020, God spoke to me go to Abuja, take over a certain party. God told me there is going to be a party called YPP and the next Government of your state will come from there. I went to Abuja. In December, 2020, I had an end of year party. And God told me the man is Senator Bassey Albert Akpan. He told me go and tell Senator Bassey Albert you will not have ticket in PDP, it will be in YPP. Today, It has come to pass. 70% of God’s word has come to pass. Today we have come to say God thank you. The remaining will come to pass and we will still come here to thank Him” he said.
