Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on Transport, Mr. Idongesit Samuel, has lauded his boss, Pastor Umo Eno, on his attainment of a Doctorate in Public Administration from the University of Uyo, describing the achievement as a reflection of the Governor's deep commitment to education and leadership.
Speaking to newsmen on Saturday at the Nwaniba Campus, the venue of the convocation ceremony, Mr. Samuel described the Governor’s academic accomplishment as a clear example of his dedication to knowledge, adding that his massive investment in education has established him as the most education-friendly governor.
The Governor's aide, who recently earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the same university, observed that Pastor Umo Eno’s pursuit of a doctorate while in office demonstrates that learning is a lifelong journey.
His words: "My boss and leader, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, Ph.D., has shown that no role or position should hinder personal growth. This remarkable achievement is a noble inspiration for me as one of his disciples, and I'm certain it will encourage other youths and Akwa Ibomites to strive for greater heights."
Samuel expressed that his boss’s decision to dedicate this milestone to the cherished memory of his late wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno, was eloquent proof of his depth of character and the lasting influence of the First Lady's legacy in his life. He described this gesture as truly inspiring.
While emphasizing that the Governor’s Ph.D. is more than an academic honour but a call to place value on learning and development, Mr. Samuel reiterated his commitment to supporting the Governor’s educational policies and programmes and the ARISE Agenda.
