Family Demands Justice For Lawyer Found Dead In Uyo

The family and schoolmates of late Barrister Godwin Akpan Ikoiwak who was found dead in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State have demanded an investigation into his death.

Ikoiwak, 41, also known as Bugzy, who worked with the Ministry of Justice in Akwa Ibom State, was recently found dead in Uyo, under mysterious circumstances.

The sister of the deceased, Miss Nne Akpan Ikoiwak, made the call yesterday at a news briefing in Abuja.

Ikoiwak, while calling on the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, to help in unravelling the perpetrators of the murder, also appealed to the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, to bring justice in the case.

She said: “Since the autopsy was released, there seems to be an upside to the process of bringing these perpetrators to answer how the young man was cut down in his prime.

“All the persons who were last seen with the deceased still walk freely, enjoying God’s free air while they believe they have the right to freely take the life of another so brutally.”
